Does it have to be a certain file type? Do you have to have a certain program. How exactly do i take a video form my comp and burn it onto a blank dvd so i can watch it in my dvd player?
You need some DVD authoring software – that takes your video and converts it to mpeg2 – then packages it into .VOB files with special file names and puts them into correct folders on the DVD so that the player knows where to look for what on the disc and then be able to play it.
Once every thing on the DVD is in the correct Format – correctly named – and in the right folders *most* modern DVD players will play it.
Go and have a look at for all sorts of video editing and DVD authoring software.
Check your computer hardware list.If you have a CD burner you should have no problems. Most new computers have a CD burner and video card.If you have Windows xp you will have a program called (movie maker ) click onto it,and it will give you instructions on how to do it.It will also give you the name of the files.
