As long as it is not copyrighted material and you only use it for personal use (can’t sell it) then it isn’t “illegal”. But, it might violate the terms and conditions of yahoo and google inc.(because google now owns it), but they won’t take action, they really don’t care besides that fact that you don’t get to click on their text-ads.

No its not illegal and i would download the videos you like soon because sometimes when you go back to see them their gone. You also need some special player that will convert the video for you to watch it on your computer.
