I recently bought a DVD with a scratched inner ring , it can play on the DVD player but not on my computer(possibly because the seller did not trust his customers – suspecting they would make copies). I go on My Computer, and it is not even detected. How may I solve this problem?

I don’t have a clue as how to burn movies or what kind of software i need. Do i use Roxio? I don’t know anything about Roxio or any dvd software I would greatly appreciate it if someone who knows alot about this can help me.
