I recently bought a DVD with a scratched inner ring , it can play on the DVD player but not on my computer(possibly because the seller did not trust his customers – suspecting they would make copies). I go on My Computer, and it is not even detected. How may I solve this problem?

So, hello guys. I want to record(or write, dunno the excact word for it) a movie that i’ve downloaded from the internet. Now i downloaded the subtitles for it too. I can watch the movie on my pc. However, i want to record to a dvd to watch it on a dvd player(on tv). Is there any way that i could put the movie and the subtitles in one file and then put it on a dvd?

I am trying to hook up my dvd player to my dvd recorder and I can’t get it to work! I already tried hooking the dvd player “out” to the recorder “in” and the recorder “out” to the tv’s “in” but when I push play on the dvd player and record on the dvd player, it says “no signal”. When you buy a home theater, you basically get a dvd player and speakers. I have a really good dvd player, and I have speakers that a friend gave me, How can I turn this into a home theater? The dvd player has basic audio in/out jacks on the back. Is there an adapter that i can hook all of my speaker wires into, and then plug that into the audio jacks on my dvd player?
