Fine, we’ll cut down on carbon emissionsm, but I still need to go to work and feed the kids. So I’ll just turn off the TV, stop going to concerts, and since the TV is turned off I don’t need to buy any DVD movies. Hey I’m going to save a lot of money on this deal and I’ll be saving the environment!

It sounds like you genuinely have a good plan on helping the environment. Good Job. Any way you do this, it is good. They have succeeded in raising awareness, even if it cuts their money.
That, in concert with using only one square of toilet paper and drinking our own urine will probably save at least one polar bear.
amen, not only that, but look at the other benefits, such as, higher Morales and standards, as well as far less obese peoples as if there where no TV, people might actually do something again,.

I’m conservative… And I agree with you, If they are going to get on t.v., put on concerts and speak out about the issue then they need to practice what they preach!!! Stop flying around the in their private jets and get rid of their big expensive cars and do they honestly need houses as big as they have? No they don’t, they get money and everything is a show for them. Just like this issue.. it’s nothing more than an opprotunity to boost their celebrity status. It’s disgusting how they demand we all give up things and they don’t do it themselves. And Al Gore does all this just to try and look like a hero or something… I wonder how many animals died so he could slick his hair back like he does..

I love the repeats from the mouths of the right wing talk show bozos. Let’s see…someone brings up a problem, but the problem never gets discussed….the messenger gets attacked. That is so cool. Now carbon emissions may not be really sexy, but it is a growing problem…a problem that the right wing radio talk show guys simply won’t touch…..instead they rail on about the people who do bring it up. Here’s how it goes. The US has a crappy health insurance situation…attack the people that mention this….call ‘em ‘liberals’..that’s the ticket. A dumb @ss war? ….Attack the people that suggest that it is a dumb @ss war….call ‘em America haters. The export of american industry to #$%^ hole 3rd world countries….mention this and the ‘wingers will blame the ‘unions’. Strip mining and clear cutting? Beat up the ‘tree huggers’ for bringing up the possiblility that maybe we could be a bit more careful with our natural resources. See how it works? It sucks, but that’s how it works!
